The death toll following a drone strike on a wedding party on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) controlled town of Kutum in El Salama neighbourhood, North Darfur on April 8, has risen to 58 civilians, including 17 children, according to a local medical officials in Kutum.

Most of the victims were civilians - women, children, and seniors. The death toll is expected to raise as many survivors were severely burned, charred, or dismembered, and more than 10 are still missing.
The El-Fasher Resistance Committee, a pro-democracy group, said the strike hit the Al-Salama neighbourhood near Al-Um Girls' School, blaming Burhan's armed forces (SAF) for the attack.

On March 9, The Sudan Founding Alliance, also known as Tasis, released a statement saying the death toll has risen to 56 civilians, including 17 children, with 107 other injured. It pointed the fingers to what it described the “Terrorist Muslim Brotherhood Army”, meaning SAF aligned Islamist militias.

Social media have been flooded with photos of some of the victims
There was no immediate comment from General al-Burhan’s SAF regarding the allegations. Independent verification of the incident and casualty figures was not immediately available.
